WORK EXPERIENCE
Park Ranger – Joshua Tree National Park – Twentynine Palms, CA Jan. 2025 – Feb. 2026
▪ Collected, managed, and accounted for park entrance fees, campground fees, and government assets.
Campground patrol – roving the campgrounds in a government vehicle to collect camping fees and ensure
proper use of the sites. Coordinating traffic control, often requiring directing emergency vehicles entering and
leaving the park, permitting and prioritizing current passholders to reduce lines, and managing parking lot
overflow during peak visitation periods. High levels of customer service, interacting with and assisting visitors
daily as they visited the park, including navigation, general assistance, providing visitors with educational
information, and occasionally emergency response such as search-and-rescue operations. Additionally, routine
collection of park data, including visitation and traffic counts, as well as campground usage information.
Accurate statistics were reported to the NPS IRMA portal, with GIS tools providing visual representations for
better interpretation. 40 Hr./Week. GS-5 Level.
Shift Manager – Jimmy John’s Pipin’ Hot – West Chester, PA Jan. 2024 – Dec. 2024
▪ Shift manager four to five nights a week, working the grill, greeting customers, managing/training employees,
and closing the restaurant. Supervised team performance and ensured operational excellence, especially during
high-volume shifts. In addition, handling and accounting for earned money and possessing a key to the
building. 30+ Hr./Week.
Greenhouse Volunteer – CU Research Greenhouse – Boulder, CO Dec. 2022 – Dec. 2023
▪ Volunteered for CU Boulder’s research greenhouse, supporting the caretaking and operations of their
collection. Responsibilities included potting and repotting plants; trimming, pruning, and other necessary plant
care; watering; some pest control; seed germination; propagation; and occasional greenhouse room design and
organization. Species identification was a required skill set.
Trail Crew Member – Student Conservation Association – Anchorage, AK May 2022 – Aug. 2022
▪ Two weeks of basic team building, tool-skills development, trail-construction projects, and earning WFA, CPR,
and AED certifications. Following this, worked with a crew to conserve and maintain critical environments
across Alaska for three months. Tasks included trail construction, repair, and brushing; tree population
restoration/protection; and protecting melting permafrost along the Dalton Highway north of the Arctic
Circle. Gained knowledge of tool use, sustainability practices in remote environments requiring close
collaboration, soil science, and experience with all-terrain vehicles. 50+ Hr./Week.
