Development, Transportation, Infrastructure and Environment.
• Providing advice and consultancy in supporting the Japanese experts in
the field of urban planning and coordination for the project.
• Interviews and meetings, as well as Erbil Masterplan data collection from
all relevant ministries and directorates in KRG.
• Translation of some of the materials between Kurdish and English.

• In charge of coordination between JICA Project Team experts as well as
the Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism for the project of Update of
Erbil Master Plan Towards Sustainable City Development.
• In charge of local project office and local experts in day-to-day tasks for
the progress of the project.
• Consultations on urban planning issues and propositions with the leading
team as well as other sector experts including Urban Planning, Laws and
Regulations, Urban Management, GIS, and Infrastructure.
• In charge of capacity assessment/development for the counterpart staff
in the field of urban planning to enhance their skills and capacities.
• Institutional analysis expert responsible for analyzing urban management
structure of the government and the urban planning institution’s role in
the management and implementation of urban plans, as well as
propositions for strengthening their roles.
• GIS tasks and assignments with the spatial group and land use teams.
