Description:
The Cucamonga Valley Water District is seeking to fill one (1) Intern GIS-Water Resources position. Under immediate supervision, to perform various GIS mapping and water resources related duties and projects; and to support the Engineering Department. Incumbent should have the ability to work 15-30 hours per week; the assignment is not to exceed one (1) year.

The internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills they may have acquired in school related to their area of interest and apply them in a professional setting.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

District hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

This position does not include fringe benefits, however sick leave is provided for District part-time and temporary employees ninety (90) days after hire date. Refer to Personnel Policy 3.11 for additional information.

The District offers an Alternative Retirement Plan (ARP) for our Part-time, Seasonal, and Temporary employees. The alternative retirement plan consists of a 5% pre-tax employee contribution , and a 2.5% District contribution.
