In my current role as a GIS Coordinator with the City of Aberdeen, I manage and maintain complex spatial datasets including zoning, parcels, addressing, and infrastructure layers. I have led efforts to compile and standardize data across departments, ensuring accuracy and usability for planning and compliance purposes. This experience has strengthened my ability to work with diverse data sources while maintaining data integrity.

March 2023–Present
• Updated and created feature layers as needed; lots, zoning, addressing, vacant buildings, city jurisdiction ect.
• Created maps for city boards and councils.
• Assigned addresses to new lots and handled the paperwork for address changes.
• Used StoryMaps to create slides for the Zoning Board meetings and ran the slides at the meetings
• Recreated all the City’s web maps with Experience Builder when Web App Builder was retired.
• Compiled the majority of the lead service line data to meet EPA requirements.
• Ran analyses on what where the optimal placement for a fourth fire station.
• Formatted and annual submitted the city limits data to the Census Bureau.
• Helped the public with various questions and needs.

• Created the geodatabase and collected the data for the city’s irrigation system using a Trimble system.
• Collected data on new city signs.
• Designed and created a geodatabase for the city’s irrigation system. Collected, edited, and added the data to the geodatabase.
• Wrote Python script for a small data manipulation project.
GIS Intern - Anoka County, MN, Parks Dept.
May 17, 2021 – August 20, 2021
• Used the Collector app to collect data on water and energy meters, landscaped areas, handicap parking spots, pedestrian ramps, and crosswalks.
• Created a mowed-areas layer and a snowplowed route layer in ArcMap.
• Created color-coded maps of park signs ready for replacement by the parks department.
• Organized trails based on quality in an ArcMap layer.
