oceanographic conditions at PMNM
• Analyzed different ocean color algorithms for MODIS, VIIRS, and Sentinel-3 to identify the most applicable algorithm and sensor for aquatic ecosystems such as remote atolls and coral reefs

Mapping untreated and semi-treated wastewater effluent off the coast of Gaza with Sentinel-1 time series data
• Designed, completed, and presented a study using remote sensing to examine the effect of protracted untreated wastewater discharge on the coastal water quality of Gaza & Israel
• Extensive data acquisition and analysis including contacting various engineers at Gaza’s municipal water service to obtain in-situ data regarding the discharge of wastewater directly into the Mediterranean Sea
• Pre-processed, trained, and applied a supervised Random Forest classification using Google Earth Engine to a collection of over 100 Sentinel-1 radar images to examine the spatial and temporal pattern of plumes from wastewater discharge from the Gaza Strip into the Mediterranean Sea
