Winneshiek County Iowa is accepting applications for the full-time position of GIS ANALYST

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the continued development of the County’s GIS Geographic Information System. Work includes acquiring, creating, maintaining, and distributing GIS data, maps and related reports. Performing geospatial analysis to produce reports, maps, web service applications, and database extracts. Plans, develops, implements, and supports geospatial databases, web-based GIS and other GIS services and applications. Provides expertise in parcel maintenance mapping and related workflows. Coordinates data sharing among County departments and data exchanges with external agencies and vendors. Develops processes and workflows related to field data collection. Reviews 911 addresses and within; manages, updates, validates, and synchronizes data for NextGen E911. Performs related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Individuals must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge of the theory, principles, practices, terminology, and methods of GIS using ESRI's ArcGIS software, GPS equipment, and mobile data collection methodologies. The ability to perform spatial data analysis and visualization. Strong knowledge of local government business practices and processes as related to GIS.
