GIS Systems Analyst II

The GIS Systems Analyst will work on GIS Data Management and Analytics Team to deliver specified GIS products, applications, tasks and projects. Selected candidate will work closely with team members of multiple Community of Interest Teams as a GIS Liaison to those teams and preform Enterprise GIS Analytics using standard GIS Software applications for Citywide customers and City Departments.


Planning, managing, and administering GIS work activities, application design, spatial analysis, and geodatabase development.
Provide GIS technical support for GIS software, GIS enabled business systems and GIS layers such as Cadastral, Planimetric, Road Networks, Flood Zones, LiDAR, Aerial Photography and Topographic Layers.
Processing and ensuring completion of GIS requests for service and projects in a proactive manner.
Employ task management and communication practices to ensure satisfactory delivery of these service requests.
Regularly employ effective communication techniques to deliver professional presentations, provide directions, conduct user training or resolve technical issues, to coordinate/collaborate with peers, users, and leadership, publish professional papers, facilitate end-user meetings, meetings with city leadership or meet with the public.
Analyze, update, perform quality control, and develop methods and procedures to ensure existing GIS data and datasets are accurate.
Perform spatial analysis of these data and datasets using GIS software to produce derivative data layers that result in thematic map deliverables for city customers, government partners and the public
Utilize various programming and web languages to develop solutions, data services or provide increased functionality to existing workflows or to improve existing workflows.
