GIS and IT Engineering Technician

The Ordway-Swisher Biological Station is currently seeking a GIS and IT engineering Technician. This is a 30 hr/wk postion and is eligible for benefits. The GIS and IT engineering Technician is expected to perform Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and IT Engineering duties at the Ordway-Swisher Biological Station (OSBS) in Melrose, Fl., a research and education unit of the University of Florida. They may expect to work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain, under physically demanding circumstances and in confined or cramped spaces. This position will serve as a staff member of OSBS and expected to both work in a team environment and to be capable of carrying out instructions and projects with minimal supervision. This position may supervise volunteers and/or interns.
