GIS Analyst & Cartographer

The Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor is seeking a full-time individual who can utilize Geographic Information System techniques to provide a better understanding of certain variables along the D&L Trail and impacting our five county National Heritage Area located in eastern Pennsylvania. Based in Easton, Pennsylvania, he/she should be able extract data from GIS software and use varying analysis methods to arrive at results and contribute to appropriate reactionary strategies. The successful candidate will also be responsible for producing maps, reproducing and updating old maps with the ability to produce associated diagrams, charts and spreadsheets, and leading/attending meetings with D&L partner organizations. The position requires a masterís degree or a bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of experience in the area of specialty. He/she will report to the Director of Trails & Conservation and will have some latitude in project development, administration and implementation as part of a team. The Analyst is a well-rounded, tech-savvy individual with a wide range of skills, including strong communication and personal skills. He/she will be expected to multi-task. His/her duties will involve cartography, database management and spatial analysis. The incumbent will work also closely with the Executive Director, Trail Managers and Manager of Gifts and Development.
