Real Estate Development Analyst & GIS Specialist

Summary:
The Real Estate Development Analyst and GIS Specialist is responsible for working with a highly -talented and technical team on a portfolio of potential new AutoZone stores alongside the Real Estate department, forecasting Sales, performing competitive analysis to understand market trends, and presenting and defending findings to a variety of audiences including Executive Committees.
In addition, this Team serves as the Spatial Analytics hub for the organization managing a state-of-the-art Enterprise GIS and Web mapping platform, utilizing Big Data and the latest analytical trends to turn data into information to make informed Business decisions.

Our team is responsible for driving the Store Development strategy of a Fortune 300 company
Our Analysts perform high-level studies using cutting edge technology and data to forecast Sales and understand market trends
We travel the country to tie together what we see on a map and what is taking place on the ground in real-time
Our Analysts are in a high-profile role that presents recommendations directly to Executive-level committees on a weekly basis
We operate in a highly dynamic environment where creativity and flexible process improvement is not only encouraged, it is expected
Our team fosters professional development and outside-the-box thinking so that skill sets are well-rounded and non-complacent
We serve as the spatial analytics hub for the entire organization and are poised to answer any question that has a “where” component
What We Are Looking For:
Individuals with the curiosity to go the extra mile to understand complex problems and come up with solutions
Confidence to present findings and recommendations to Executive-level audiences and answer questions directly
Ability to use critical thinking skills and see the big-picture to understand how the decision at hand affects the overall development strategy
Technical aptitude to learn and understand the latest GIS and Statistical tools and use them as a tool to make recommendations and understand large and complex datasets
What You Should Bring to the Team:
Bachelor's degree required
Experience conducting quantitative analysis
Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in GIS, Market Research, Business Analytics or similar field
Savvy technical skills
Demonstrated experience using ArcGIS or similar platforms in an enterprise environment
Proficiency with Alteryx, SAS, Excel, or similar business software packages a plus
Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting technical documents required
