Outage Management Systems Support Analyst

PSE's Electric Operations team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Outage Management Systems Support Analyst position!
Responsible to verify data flows between the OMS-DMS (Outage Management System – Distribution Management System) that ensure adequate distribution of electricity to meet power demands (for distribution system voltage below 100 kV). Performs data analysis and modeling of load flow based on system outages, system demand and system alarms.
Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.
Responsible for verifying data flow between EO (Electric Office), PowerOn and GENe systems.
Assists in the creation and modification of schematics of the network electrical model.
Installs data points for substation internals.
Modifies EO to reflect substation displays after completed construction and maintains internal views for substations.
Verifies end to end connectivity between Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) points and Distribution Management System (DMS).
Performs system audits and makes corrections/adjustments to missing/wrong or conflicting data.
Performs substation field investigations to resolve conflicting data as necessary.
Performs load flow analysis and estimates related to decisions on switching lines, controlling equipment and devices, or customer loads.
Provides support to system operations in the use of the OMS-DMS and assists in managing the data configurations.
Coordinates with IT and other business units in testing and upgrading the OMS-DMS system.
Retrieves, researches, analyzes and interprets EO, maps, as-builts and engineering documents.
Assists in developing system operational rules; as well as maintaining, designing, enhancing and implementing the OMS-DMS training simulator and scenarios required for system operation training programs.
Assists with storm related updates to EO.
On call 24 x 7 for emergency responsibilities and system support.
Works staggered work schedule to ensure availability of real-time network electrical model and control system.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Associates degree in engineering field or related, or equivalent combination of training and/or work experience may substitute.
3 years experience in utility system operations and experience in at least two of the following:
Geographic Information System (GIS).
SAP plant maintenance or other related SAP modules.
Mapping electric distribution systems and substation configurations.
2 years working experience with electrical engineering designs and specifications.
Ability to interpret and understand schematic diagrams.
Understanding of electric distribution system configurations.
Working knowledge of MS Office.
Working knowledge of electric utility construction standards.
Working knowledge of electric utility Outage Management System, GIS and DMS.
