Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a journey level IT Systems Administrator to fill the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Web Services Administrator vacancy located in Tumwater, WA. In this role, you will independently apply knowledge of geospatial technology to support agency-wide mission critical geospatial application initiatives and collaborative data sharing with other state, federal, and local agencies, and the public. This position provides primary systems administration of WSDOT’s ArcGIS Online Organization (AGOL), ArcGIS Hub Organization, Geospatial Open Data Portal, and ArcGIS Enterprise Portal including site configuration, writing scripts to automate administration processes, testing systems integration, data quality validation, developing and applying administration standards, and providing technical troubleshooting and support. This position serves as the primary administrator of ArcGIS Server enterprise web services to support many core WSDOT business functions such as, Highway Performance Management Systems, Roadway Data Stewardship, Transportation Planning, and Environmental analysis. The GIS Web Services Administrator will independently evaluate business user needs and new web-based geospatial applications to support future agency-wide geospatial technology solutions.
